Itinerary Highlights

Tsavo East National Park

Experience game drives with sightings of lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, antelope, warthog, ostrich, baboons, and diverse birdlife. Watch herds of dust-red elephants wallow or forage, visit the man-made Aruba Dam on the Voi River – a magnet for wildlife, and explore Mudanda Rock, a whale-backed formation attracting thousands of elephants.

Amboseli National Park

Marvel at Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, while observing swamps below Observation Hill that host elephants, buffalo, hippo, and a variety of waterfowl such as pelicans and Egyptian geese. Enjoy glimpses of African homesteads and cultures along the way. Optional Masai village visit at Amboseli is available at $30 per person (arranged with your driver/guide).

Regardless of your selection, your safari experience will always meet our highest standards.

Your experienced driver/guide will accompany you throughout the safari. Transportation to the parks and game viewing will be in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep, the safari standard with higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park (320 km, Approx. 5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

06:00 hrs – Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or Nairobi airport. Travel in your 4 x 4 Jeep along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, also known as the early explorer’s route, toward Tsavo East National Park.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli (300 km, Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning game drive to experience the dawning day and wildlife activity, followed by breakfast at your accommodation. Take one last game drive at Tsavo East before departing for Amboseli National Park under the watchful gaze of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Track free-ranging elephants and smaller wildlife such as foxes, monkeys, and baboons. Explore marshes and lakes with pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, and herons. Evening often reveals the stunning snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi (250 km, Approx. 4 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

Begin with an early morning game drive to witness Amboseli’s wildlife at dawn. Enjoy breakfast at your lodge/camp and a mid-morning game drive to spot any remaining species before departing for Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon, around 16:30 hrs (4:30 pm).
