Your Guide

For your 3-day Masai Mara group journey, you’ll be guided, hosted and looked after by your own experienced driver/guide.

Transportation to the park and game viewing will be in a 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep – the safari standard with higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

3 Day Masai Mara Group Joining Tour Itinerary

Day 1
NAIROBI – MASAI MARA (Approx. 265 kms – 5–6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

06:00 – 07:30 hrs: Your driver/guide from Adventure In The Wild Safaris will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or residence.
If you’re arriving on an early morning flight, we’ll arrange for your airport pickup.

08:00 hrs: With the group ready, we’ll begin our journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The scenic drive takes us through Masai country and across the dramatic floor of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 2
FULL DAY AT THE MASAI MARA

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This will be a day of unlimited game drives for your group. Explore the depth and breadth of the most famous park in the world.

Sightings of the Big Five are not uncommon, so keep an eye out for lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

Your group will drive down to the Mara River – the site of the Great Migration (July–October).
Witness immense herds of wildebeest and zebra, along with the predators that await their crossing.

At the river, you’ll spot hippos, and if you look carefully, crocodiles camouflaged in their natural habitat.
This ancient spectacle has played out for millennia and is one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife encounters.

To enrich your experience, optional activities are available:

• Masai Village Visit: Meet the local Maasai people and experience their culture and traditions up close.
• Hot Air Balloon Ride: Float above the savannah at sunrise for a truly unforgettable experience.
  Your driver/guide can help you arrange these optional excursions.

Day 3
MASAI MARA – NAIROBI (265 kms – 5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast

After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge or camp, your dedicated driver/guide will assist with check-out and begin the return journey to Nairobi.

En route, enjoy views of the Longonot extinct volcano, a stratovolcano southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley.
It is believed to have last erupted in the 1860s. Its name comes from the Maasai word “Oloonong’ot”, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges”.

Optional detours (at extra cost):

• Drive via Naivasha for lunch or excursions
• Visit Kiambethu Farm for a tea farm tour and three-course buffet lunch

Alternatively, proceed directly to Nairobi and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight home.
