What “June to March” feels like in the forest

Mid-year through the following spring tends to deliver more predictable road conditions and slightly easier viewing in open glades. That does not mean cloudless skies—expect early fog that burns off into pewter-and-gold afternoons. The trade-off is dust-free leaves and saturated greens for photography, plus elephants moving with confidence between feeding and drinking spots.
