Serena Mountain Lodge at the Mount Kenya national park, is set at an elevation of 2,194 meters on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. It is surrounded by a thick rainforest that comes to life at dusk with all the sounds that make the African bush so unique and exciting.The lodge’s waterhole is thought to be the most beautiful forest waterhole in Mount Kenya National Park. It is always full of animals.

This beautiful place is only two and a half hours by car from Nairobi. It is dominated by the rocky peaks of Mt. Kenya and is proud to have one of the highest records of big game visits and sightings.

During the day and evening game hunts, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and waterbuck are common sights.

During other times of the day, you can watch wildlife from the viewing bunker that was built just for that purpose and is linked to the house by a short tunnel.

You can get really close to the animals that come to the waterhole to drink and bathe.

The lodge has 42 nice bedrooms, each with a simple bathroom and furniture made from local wood and African art.

There is a large porch that looks out over the waterhole, where there is always something going on.

There are ways to set up walks through forests, which are truly special because you can see animals and birds while walking.

For the really brave and sporty, these walks can go all the way to the top of Mount Kenya.
