Mbalageti Safari Camp
Mbalageti Safari Camp, is very nice and can fit up to 80 people. The rooms are great, and the main area feels warm and welcoming. Because of its position, it is the best lodge to stay at during the Great Migration, when wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes move to Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of better land. The camp is in the western corridor of the Serengeti. It’s about a 30-minute drive from the Grumeti airstrip, which is about a 2-and-a-half-hour flight from Arusha.
Even though the camp is only open during certain times of the year for the migration, it has some great resident wildlife, and you can see the migration as it goes north in June. The camp is also near a good spot for balloon rides from Grumeti. The views of the Dutwa Plains from the camp are great for watching the game as it goes by.
