Entumoto Safari Camp

Set in the Mara Siana Conservancy, Entumoto Safari Camp is a luxury camp perched above the Rift Valley, offering visitors breathtaking views and stunning sunsets over the Masai Mara plains. Safari experiences are exceptional here as vehicles explore the private conservancy where the camp is located.

Sharing safari stories and soaking up the authentic African safari ambiance are central to the experience at Entumoto Safari Camp. The property includes Entumoto Main Camp, which offers full board accommodation with activities, and Entumoto Toto, where guests stay on a full board basis only (no activities). For the adventurous, a mobile-tented camping experience allows for an unforgettable night sleeping out in the wilderness.

Guests at the main camp can enjoy fine dining in the communal gathering area or dine al fresco under the stars. Private dining in your tent is also available. Cooking classes are offered for those interested in learning how to prepare traditional Kenyan dishes. Wine enthusiasts can indulge in wine tasting from the camp’s private wine cellar before unwinding with a relaxing spa treatment. The spacious luxury lodges and villas provide a comfortable retreat, where the sounds of the bush lull guests to sleep.

Location

Entumoto Safari Camp is located in the Mara Siana Conservancy within Kenya’s famous Masai Mara National Park. The best way to reach the camp is via a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Ol Kiombo Airstrip, followed by a game drive to the camp. Alternatively, the drive from Nairobi takes approximately five hours.

Rooms / Tents

At Entumoto Main Camp, there are four Family Tents, each with two bedrooms that can be configured with double or twin beds. A large lounge with a fireplace separates the bedrooms, and each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, and basin. Five en-suite tents also offer similar bathroom facilities and a small sitting area, with double or twin bedding options. The tents are khaki with bedding in whites and grays, contrasting beautifully with beige screeded floors.

Entumoto Toto Camp features two Family Tents with two rooms each, divided by a central lounge with fireplace and en-suite bathrooms. Three additional en-suite tents offer double beds, hot showers, and small sitting areas. The mobile camping experience includes modest tents with two single beds, a small table and chair, and an outdoor “bucket” shower behind each tent.

Game drives are the primary activity at Entumoto Safari Camp, with early morning and late afternoon outings standard, and longer safari days with picnic lunches also available. Guided bush walks with expert local guides allow guests to discover the smaller wonders of the African bush while spotting wildlife.

For a change of pace, guests can enjoy mountain biking or hiking excursions, or visit a local Masai cultural village to learn about traditional techniques and stories. Hot Air Balloon rides are also a popular and breathtaking way to view the region.
