Kirurumu Serengeti Central Camp
LOCATION: Depending on the season!
From June to August, the camp moves around the stunningly beautiful Moru Kopjes. Moru is the only place where the Serengeti Rhino Project can take place. The area has a lot of lions because there is water there all the time, and it is much less crowded and more private. There is a lot of wildlife in the area, which is why there are so many lions. The migration might or might not come through the area in June. It’s hard to say ahead of time what the pattern will be because it depends on the weather and how much water the big herds can get.
We don’t stay in one place all the time. Because the movement is unpredictable, we think that our seasonality and the fact that our camps may move around within a general area is the best way to plan our strategy. Most of the time, we stay away from areas with a lot of people. Instead, we use our extensive knowledge and years of experience to find places that are less crowded but still great for wildlife.
