16 guests in total can enjoy the splendors of classic African charm and outstanding service amid a setting that invites you to sit back, relax, and savor the joys of being out in the bush. The House has a cozy drawing room, large sofas and scatter cushions offering a home-away-from-home ambiance, and a small bar set in a corner.
The dining room comprises one large, wooden table in a room with high thatched ceilings, resulting in an elegant dining experience. Breakfast is set on a deck with captivating views over the Borana plains, while the lunch room has a rustic outdoor vibe.
A tranquil infinity swimming pool is set out among the gardens and guests can spend time either working out in the small gym or indulging in a massage treatment in the privacy of their room. Simply enjoying a beverage of choice while watching animals roam towards the nearby water hole is a wonderful way to spend time in between safari activities. Other activities include table tennis and real tennis, with a game of darts always a little fun.
Location
Located in the Borana Conservancy and Borana Hills of Kenya’s Laikipia district, the Laragai House sits on the rim of an escarpment, offering captivating views as far as the eye can see. The House is a four-hour drive from Nairobi or a 60-minute flight from the capital’s Jomo Kenyatta or Wilson Airports, with guests flying into the Lewa airstrip followed by an approximate 50-minute drive to the House.
Rooms / Tents
Laragai House has only eight breathtaking rooms, each individually named, designed, and decorated. The Lord Michael Room and Lord Valentine Room have a large space with a double bed and sitting area, homely touches through decor and art noticeable throughout. The Kabaka, Daisy & Hubert, the Cedar Room, and The Cottage Room all boast a double bed, a slightly smaller space yet cozy and comfortable and beautifully decorated. The Red Room and Yellow Room both have twin beds and are perfectly sized.
All accommodation is en-suite offering a shower, vanity, toilet, and all modern amenities.

Game Viewing / Activities
Activities at Laragai House range from guided safari drives that take place in the early morning and late afternoon, as well as guided nature walks with a qualified guide and the chance to track rhinos on foot. There is mountain biking and horse riding for those guests looking for something a little different, as well as excursions to the nearby Ngare Ndare Forest.
Guests can try their hand at stand-up paddle boarding in a nearby lake, animals wandering by as you gently make your way around the waters, or capture the incredible wilderness scene with a helicopter safari — the landscape simply breathtaking.
