The 10-day tour visits the first-class national parks in Tanzania: Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park.

The safari begins at Arusha National Park with sightings of Mount Meru and a rich variety of wildlife. The tour proceeds to Mulala Village located on the slopes of Mount Meru, where you’ll interact with the locals and learn about their economic activities. The journey continues to Tarangire National Park for more game viewing drives, then on to Lake Manyara National Park, where there is a chance to spot tree-climbing lions.

A visit to the interesting Mto wa Mbu village includes learning about rice farming, exploring a banana plantation, and viewing local artwork at an open-air studio. Accommodation is provided in a choice of economy, comfort, or luxury safari lodges or tented camps. Safari transport and game viewing drives are conducted in a customized pop-up top 4×4 land cruiser jeep.

Day 1

Pick up from JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) upon your flight arrival. Meet and transfer to Arusha. Overnight at your hotel on bed and breakfast basis (BB).

Day 2

Drive to the nearby Arusha National Park for a day of wonderful game drives. Picnic lunch is served at midday. The Momella Lakes on one side and Mt. Meru on the other combine to create a special scenic experience. Late afternoon return to Arusha for overnight at your hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast, drive to Mulala Village located on the slopes of Mt. Meru. You will be warmly welcomed by local rural women who will share their various economic activities aimed at fighting poverty. Learn how they process tasty cheese and explore their bee-keeping project featuring a special local bee species producing highly sought-after medicinal honey.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the rolling plains. Lunch is prepared by the women using typical Tanzanian recipes. In the afternoon, they will guide you through traditional coffee farming, harvesting, grinding, and brewing your own cup of fresh coffee. Afterward, return to Arusha for overnight at your hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch en route. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives with picnic lunch. Late afternoon, exit the park and check-in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6

After breakfast, drive to nearby Mto wa Mbu Village where a local guide will take you through rice farms and banana plantations. Taste ripe bananas and other fruits grown in the village. Meet weavers and passionate wood carvers. Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by local women.

Later, visit an open-air art studio where local youth create humorous and colorful tinga-tinga paintings. After this cultural experience, drive up the scenic escarpment to Karatu. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7

After a late breakfast, collect picnic lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Late afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge. Drive westwards down the Malanja depression with a stop at Oldupai Gorge. Here you’ll receive an informative lecture about early human ancestors and visit the interesting museum.

Continue to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch served en route. Proceed with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 9

Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in the world-famous Serengeti. All meals and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Bougainvillea Lodge for lunch. After lunch, continue on to Arusha to conclude your safari experience with Adventure In The Wild Safaris.
