Enjoy the variety of BOTH Tsavo Parks on this 2-day safari getaway. The largest animal reserve in Kenya, Tsavo East National Park offers visitors a “big five” assortment of wildlife and hundreds of bird species. Its rugged landscape has a charm that will enhance your sightings of big cats, buffalo, elephant, impala and zebra.

Its neighbor, Tsavo West National Park is also an immense reserve with a long history. You’ll be looking out upon a variety of landforms here from rolling plains to volcanic cones to green natural springs. Together, the parks offer a rich sampling of an authentic African safari.

There’s much to see on this 2-day adventure, so Adventure In The Wild Safaris will pick you up early at your Diani Beach resort. As you travel to the parks, the sunrise igniting the rolling landscape will set the tone for your safari. In a short while you’ll reach Tsavo East with its red soil expanse, and you’ll head out on the first of many game drives.

Mudanda Rock / Aruba Dam

These sites are perfect viewing areas for an assortment of wildlife. The natural dam beneath Mudanda Rock is an excellent site for game spotting as hundreds of animals come here to drink. The reservoir at man-made Aruba Dam also attracts a wealth of wildlife, especially elephants.

Tsavo West

We’ll head to neighboring Tsavo West Park for your evening accommodations. On day 2 it will be an early rise to view another African dawn and the stirring of wildlife emerging from the bush and the plain.

Then we’ll take off for the cool green of Mzima Springs. We’ll slip into the easy quiet of a walking safari which will allow us to view hippos, crocodiles, fish and bird species. The lushness here will stand in contrast to the wild landscapes of Tsavo. Time permitting, we will also visit the rhino sanctuary.

After 2 full safari days enjoying the wonders of Tsavo, we will head back to the Diani Beach resort area, arriving in the early evening. You may be tired, but you’ll be filled with great stories to tell.

All-Inclusive. Your 2-Day Tsavo East & Tsavo West safari includes all ground transportation, accommodation in a choice of economy, comfort or luxury safari lodges/tented camps, park entrance fees, game drives, all meals and pickup/drop off at your Diani and south coast locations.

Transportation between parks and game viewing will be in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep – this vehicle is the safari standard with its higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

Tsavo East – Tsavo West Safari – 2 Days

Day 1

DIANI – TSAVO EAST (160 KMS – Approx. 3.5 hours)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Pick up from your Diani & South Coast Beach location.
Depart for an inland Safari trip across the Likoni Ferry and via the Mombasa – Nairobi highway.

Day 2

TSAVO WEST – DIANI (280 KMS – Approx. 6-7 hours)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

The early bird catches the worm.
We test this old age saying as we embark on an early pre-breakfast game viewing drive.
Catch the African sunrise in its splendor as the drama of the wild unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning.
We shall spectate at the grazers and hunters as nature moves on unperturbed by our presence.
Nature beckons!
We shall be out again on a game viewing drive as we head to the Mzima springs where we leave our vehicles and explore on foot this natural haven.
Here, we view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.
The greenery surrounding the Mzima springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms the bulk of Tsavo.
Later we shall proceed to Diani beach on Kenya’s South coast.
