Kenya is known for fabulous beaches and even more fabulous safaris. Here’s a fun way to take a break from the beach and sample some of our incredible wildlife. Adventure In The Wild Safaris will pick you up from your resort and then it’s off to Tsavo East National Park for a full day of discovery.

The largest park in Kenya and one of the most established, Tsavo East is renowned for its wild and rugged charm, plus its abundance of mammals and birdlife. You may spot unique species like the red-dust elephants who roll in the red-oxide soil of Tsavo.

Your safari day begins before dawn to witness the African sunrise en route and enjoy plenty of game-viewing time in the park. Tsavo East is an uncrowded reserve, offering a peaceful wildlife experience away from tourist crowds.

A Park Packed with Wildlife

There are hundreds of species of wildlife here but perhaps the most famous is the Tsavo lion. Many of the males lack characteristic manes but are known for their fearless hunting.

You’ll also be on the lookout for leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, duiker, impala, baboon and more. Over 500 species of birds also inhabit this park, including ostrich, buzzards, and herons.

This busy day is a dawn-to-dusk safari experience—come prepared to see, discover, and marvel at all that Tsavo has to offer. We’ll return you safe and sound to your Diani Beach resort.

Route:
DIANI – TSAVO EAST – DIANI (Round trip Approx. 400km)

The Tsavo East day trip starts before dawn, allowing you to marvel at the African sunrise and to maximize your time inside the park. Depart your Diani location, make the ferry crossing at Likoni, and continue on a scenic 2.5-hour drive along smooth tarmac on the Nairobi–Mombasa highway.

There will be a short stop by the park entrance gate for breakfast or refreshments (not included in safari price).
