Daily Trekking Tour with Adventure In The Wild Safaris

Day 1 – Arrival & Drive to Volcanoes National Park (115kms / approx. 2hrs)

Arrive morning/lunchtime at Kigali International Airport and be met by your Driver Guide for a briefing on your Rwanda visit.
Begin your Kigali city tour with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and then stop for lunch in the City Centre.
Explore the Caplaki Crafts Market for souvenirs before starting your 2-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2 – Rwanda Gorilla Tracking (Viewing time: 1 hour)

Enjoy an early breakfast and proceed to the Volcanoes NP headquarters for your once-in-a-lifetime Gorilla Trekking adventure.
You will be guided through the lush forests of the Virunga mountains to track a gorilla family.
Once you find them, you are allowed to spend one full hour observing these majestic creatures up close.

Return to your lodge for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Optionally, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to engage
with local Rwandan traditions, music, dance, and crafts.

Day 3 – Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Lake Kivu (Gisenyi Town, 60 kms / 1hr)

After early breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for a Golden Monkey Trek. You will trek through bamboo
forests to observe these lively and rare primates in their natural habitat. Spend up to 1 hour with the golden monkeys.

Return to the lodge for an early lunch, check out, and begin your drive to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi Town. Upon arrival,
check into your hotel and enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on the lake, visiting nearby islands, hot springs, and interacting
with local fishermen. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 – Gisenyi Town Tour & Return to Kigali (150 kms / approx. 3hrs)

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Begin a short city tour of Gisenyi (Rubavu), including visits to the Petite and Grand
Barrier border posts with views of Goma town in the DRC. Pass through the vibrant markets and streets of Gisenyi.
After lunch, return to Kigali International Airport for your evening departure flight.
