Day 01: Arrive Nairobi
On your Arrival at Nairobi Int'l Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Day at your leisure. If time permits, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Nairobi, visiting the famous National Museum and other attractions in the nearby suburb of Karen, including Karen Blixen's homestead and Giraffe Manor.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Hotel in Nairobi.
Day 02: Nairobi - Nanyuki
After breakfast, we drive to the Mt. Kenya Safari Club near the town of Nanyuki. Enroute, visit Kenya's largest open-air market, Karatina and the Nanyuki Weavers. Arrive at Nanyuki and check-in at Safari Club for lunch. Afternoon will be free for acclimatization and variety of exciting activities at the Resort.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
Day 03: Nanyuki - Old Moses
Enjoy a daylong 9 km hiking from the Sirimon Gate to reach Old Moses Camp (3300m). Enjoy exceptionally beautiful lush highlands of rainforest, featuring the magnificent giant cedar trees and see a range of large mammals including elephants and wild buffalos.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Old Moses Camp
Day 04: Old Moses - Shipton's Camp
Today, you will enjoy hiking for 5-6 hours up to a steep ridge before descending into the Mackinders Valley. There are exceptionally beautiful views as you leave the lush green vegetation zone and enter tundra. Arrive and check-in at scenic Shipton's Camp (4200m).
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Shipton's Camp.
Day 05: Shipton's Camp
Today, you need to acclimatize yourself for sometimes. Thereafter, enjoy an exciting excursion to the spectacular Kami Hut (4,350m), famous for its lovely alpine lakes and pools. Evening return to Shipton's Camp.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Shipton's Camp.
Day 06: Shipton's Camp - Pt. Lenana - Chogoria Bandas
Today will be an exciting middle-of-the-night ascent to Pt. Lenana (4,985m) before sunrise. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the south, Mt. Elgon to the west and the Indian Ocean to the East. Before it is too windy shortly after sunrise, start descending to Minos Hut for breakfast. Later, proceed to the Chogoria Bandas.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Chogoria Bandas.
Day 07: Chogoria Bandas - Nairobi
Today, you will enjoy a 16 km trek to the Park Gate passing through lush green and towering bamboo forest. Arrive at Park Gate, where your vehicle will be waiting for you. After lunch, we drive to Nairobi. Arrive at Nairobi and check-in at the Hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at your Hotel in Nairobi.
Day 08: Nairobi - Tour Concludes
After breakfast, in time transfer to the int'l airport to board a flight for your onward destination or way back home with exciting memories of Kenya Safari Tours.
