Tsavo Safari takes you to a journey through the twin National Parks of Tsavo East and West. The main road connecting Nairobi and Mombasa intercepts this vast Tsavo National Park in to two divisions called Tsavo East and Tsavo West. In all Tsavo National Park is spread over an area of 10 acres.
Tsavo National Park has made a name in history for being the place where several lions - coined the 'Maneaters of Tsavo' killed around 140 railway workers who were engaged in building Lunatic Railway Line in 1898. Lt. Col Patterson managed to show his valor by killing those lions. He then penned down the whole story in a book, which was later picturized as the most famous Hollywood Movie called 'The Ghost and the Darkness'.
The main highlights of Tsavo safari include visits to the Lugard Falls, Mzima Springs, Underwater Observatory, Bird watching and Game Viewing. Hippos, crocodiles, rhinos and barbells are some of the animals that you can watch from the unique underwater observatory during Tsavo Safari.
